Last Day

Tomorrow we return home. We woke up today at 6 a.m to go skiing. It was a very long trip to the ski place. It took about 2 hours and a half to get there. It was an incredible experience. It was our first time seeing snow, so you can imagine how awesome it was to ski. It was not so difficult, and after a half an hour we got the hang of it. After, we went back to Boston and ate at Tremont 647. After that we returned to the hotel and started to pack our stuff. Tomorrow is going to be a long day.

Day 5

  1. Both Harvard and MIT are super selective universities. Compare and contrast them. If you were somehow accepted to both of them, which would you attend and why? Is there any chance that you would refuse both and attend a third college?                                          I would honestly choose Harvard if I had to. Even if MIT is a school with somewhat a sense of humor, I really don't think I would be up for it. But My best choice would be to just go to Berklee or NU, and major in other subjects there.
  2. How do you feel about LevelUp as a way to carry out business transactions in the future? How does the corporate culture at SCVNGR differ from the companies that you know in Mexico. If you could invest in SCVNGR, what percentage of your total investment capital would you invest? Why?                                                                                                                             LevelUp was an interesting design to carry on transactions. I am the kind of person that believes that simple things like LevelUp will eventually take us to the future. SCVNGR's corporate culture is really an awesome one, because they obviously think outside the box and that is something that I admire. I would not invest so much money in SCVNGR as I would in LevelUp; I believe LevelUp is really Promising

day 4

I wouldn't personally like to attend BU because I dont thing the environment one that I would like to live on for 4 years. What I like most about Boston University is the large variety of programs they handle. I do not like how the rooms are distributed.
The painting that I liked the most in the Museum of Fine Art was the portrait of George Washington. I liked it a lot because it is the original image of the 1 dollar bill.

After our tour through the university, we went to get ice cream and left for the fire museum. The tour lasted around an hour, and after that we went for dinner and did some shoping. Overall it was a very productive day and I am looking forward to tomorrow.

Day 2 Pictures

Second day at Boston

Today was a very exhausting day. We woke up at 7:50 to go eat breakfast. After that we took a 10-minute walk to the Museum of Science. At there we completed a series of challenges using the SCVNGR app. At 12 we gathered up and went to eat. Then we followed the Freedom trail which took us all around important historical places. After that we started the Scavenger Hunt. We were given clues so that we could find a specific location where we were given an other clue, until we got to the last one. It was a very fun game, and my team and me finished first. The part that I remember the most was the Old State House, place where the Boston Massacre took place. It was an awesome experience because I was always told about the massacre since I started studying American history, but being in that place, I felt like I was reliving history. After a very long walk, we were taken to a restaurant were we were given a talk about collages. We did many productive things and had a lot of fun.

1st Day Reflection - Luis Bermudez

Our day began too early for anyone's taste. We had to wake up at 3 a.m. and we were to arrive to the airport at 4:20. Even though people were extremely tired, resembling zombies looking for brains, the first opportunity to rest would not come until 2 hours later, when we boarded the plane. We flew 2 hours with destiny to Phoenix, a flight where most of us slept while some watched movies. After finally getting off the plane (which was too small for a large group like us), we walked to our next plane, with the final destination of Boston. We boarded and prepared ourselves mentally for the challenge of being trapped in a metal container for 4 more hours. The flight was tedious, but we finally arrived to the place where we would live for the next week. After letting our skin taste the cold winds of the city, we got into a bus that left Group A, our group, in a seafood restaurant at Prudential Center, where we also took a Skywalk in the 50th floor of the building. It was a long day, and only a taste of what's ahead.

First Day

Beautiful view from airplane, just about to land.
